Famous

Or more appropriately INFAMOUS...
I got a text from Carmen, dans brothers girlfriend, telling me she was scrolling through Reddit (I know it's a social media app, but I don't know how it works at all) and saw the video clip of dan catching Stori from a hay bail and knocking over Sylvie. It got 1.2 million views that day and was in the top 5 trending videos. Haha I don't know how it got in there, but man the comments were horrible! Apparently dan is an awful father and should be in prison for abuse. There were thousands and thousands of comments, and so many of them were full of F words, and "doctors" saying that Sylvie was concussed. Haha Sylvie was perfectly safe and got right back up. I just couldn't believe that many people had time to comment on something so insignificant to their personal life. But then again, It was pretty entertaining...and that's why "the mom couldn't stop recording to even save her own kid."

And I don't have that clip handy to share again (it's on my YouTube, but I can't remember my login and such) but here is more reckless parenting with dan and Sylvie from 3 years ago. "spider sylvie."

Georgia the 10 month old

*This girl is finally on the move! The second we set her down, she is doing her weird crawl-like thing. she doesn't use both feet to crawl, but she uses her left leg as the crawler, and then sweeps her right leg under her. I think she does that so that she can sit on her bum easier once she gets to her destination. So we have made a barricade in our living room of all our furniture... and we have to sweep the floor every couple of hours because she is in that awful stage of putting every tiny thing in her mouth.
*She is a great sleeper. She goes to bed at 7:30pm and then we wake her up at 7:45am so that we can drive dan to work. Then she naps from 10am-12:30 and then 3-4:30/5. All I do is give her her binky, blankey, and her bunny. Say nigh nigh and she goes to bed.
*She loves food. Her favorites are avocado, cottage cheese, yogurt, bran muffins, eggs, plain cheerios, and pretty much anything we eat. She is still young enough that she will eat anything I think. She will shake her head "no" when she is done eating. I have added one bottle of formula to her diet. hoping that will help her gain some weight--she's a petite little thing.
*She loves to blow kisses, clap, tell us what the duck, dog, and cow will say, and LOVEs it when we open the blinds and say, "it's a beautiful day." she giggles and says, "uhhhhdaaay." when we are lucky, there will be a dog out our back yard and she will squeal and try to make a doggy sound.
*She also LOVES when she sees her daddy. Man does she get excited. Same with her sisters, but mostly to that ol' daddy these days.
*She loves to dance to all music (especially the Greatest Showman).
*She doesn't love to be tickled at all, and doesn't love to be in the sky and dropped down anymore. She also isn't as cuddly as our other babies, but will definitely let us hold her. It will be interesting to see how her personality develops.
Love this cute little thing so dang much.

Last days in Idaho

Man oh man, was this such a roller coaster move for our kids. They would be SO excited to move back to utah and mountains, then 5 minutes later they were sobbing because they didn't want to move away from family and their friends. Sylvie was more on board with the move, but Stori took a bit of convincing. I think I may have even promised them a horse if they became happy about the move. ;)
They really did have such great friends in Idaho, but since we have been in Harrisville, they have already started to make new best friends. Such good little kiddos.
Sylvie's teacher sent me this picture of her on her last day of preschool. she also sent home a note for sylvie telling her how much she loved having her in class and what a good friend she was to everyone. Sylvie loved her princess academy!!

I surprised Stori on her last day of class by taking sugar cookies to share with all the kids. Her face when she saw me in class was priceless! I think she felt like a movie star handing out those cookies. She introduced me to all of her friends and giggled so much. It was really cute to see what good little friends they all were in there.
We didn't get a picture of her with all her friends, but Shiloh and Aurora made it into one of them.
This is her cute teacher, Mrs. Killian. She was the best. She texted me the day before we moved and offered to have her husband come and help us load stuff in the moving trailer. And since moving to Utah, she has texted stori two different times, telling her that she misses her and checking up on her new teacher.

Ok, this next picture is so heartbreaking---I have a similar picture of her like this in my photo library, but I couldn't make myself post it because it was too sad. Huge tears and red splotchy face from crying so much. So here's the story about this sad stori....
The last day of school, her friend Aurora invited her to her house for her sisters bday party. It lasted 3 hours and when I came to get her, Stori, Aurora, and Shiloh were all huddled sitting down in a circle SOBBING uncontrollably...I couldn't even get Stori to stand up she was crying so hard. So dramatic, but also so very sweet. Her friend Aurora told me  (through sobbing breaths) that "Stori was her best friend that always played with her and that she was the dearest friend she had ever made." how dang cute is that. I tried to tell Stori that she was lucky enough to have found such good friends that it made saying goodbye so hard. Such a sweet tender little thing. In this picture, she had grabbed the iPad and put on "remember me" from coco....the words to that song are so sad, so she cried through the whole thing haha.

packing frantically because we had found a place that would let us move in 3 weeks sooner than we had planned. These two were no help at all haha.

hahaha dan and his tennis shoes at church. In all the haste to pack, I packed his church shoes. I also packed all of my clothes and shoes, so I wore my moms church dress, tights, and boots. good thing we are the same size! ha.

These are just some 1st grade things we got from her teacher. The little report card is fun to see. Stori made her AR goal of reading 20 points within the first week of being assigned. She technically had until March 1st to get it done, but on the weekends she would choose to read books and take tests, so she got them done so fast. Her teacher told me that she had 40 puts when most kids still have 15-20. She read a total of 80 books from October-January, and even got to the point that she could finish a chapter book in one day. Such a good little girl who loves to learn.

Sleddin' with friends and sleddin' with the fam

You know you have some amazing friends if they drive TWO days and leave the comfort and warmth of their Texas home, to come see us boring/freezing people for Christmas. We had so much fun doing pretty much nothing with them haha. We went sledding, went to BYUI (ran around the track and discovered that Max wants to marry Sylvie and asked his mom if he could love her), went to Deseret book for some story time in the isles, ate a lot of ice cream, gringos, texas roadhouse, played bop-it competitively, walked around the green belt, went on early morning photo expeditions, and fell asleep watching shows. It was great! Love the Thompsons!

the love-birds

Haily, Sylvie, and myself went down on a sled toghether. Well we were at the sand dunes, and I accidentally put my feet down, spraying ALL 3 of us with sand. Sylvie was in the very front, so she got the worst of it hahahaha. It was funny and awful at the same time.

Stori was the fearless one who went down from the tippy top by herself before any of us were even ready to start sledding

How does stori go from this cute little face ^^^ to this one..... haha she is such a nut.

On my dad's birthday on the 29th, we had famiy come to town. We decided to go sledding at Rigby Lake and had soooo much fun. the hills were perfect for all the kids. By the time we had to go, none of the kids were ready. We spent at least 3 hours there before the grown ups started to get hungry. We got Fried Chicken for dad's birthday and had cherry cordials for dessert. Love my family and love celebrating my dads birthday with them. My mom was still in Oregon sadly.

cute little georgia belle fell asleep while sledding, so we all make a bed out of our coats because it was so warm. we ended up just sledding in long sleeved shirts.
All the kiddos!

I love taking pictures of this handsome dude. The frost melted off his hair faster than I could take a picture though--I have a really good one just like this from last year. His beard was completely covered in ice. ha.

Christmas 2017

This was the first Christmas in a VERY LONG TIME that we didn't have anything bad happen. We had a lot of fun celebrating as a family, and even had a little tiny bit of snow we were able to enjoy.
It was a bit of an odd circumstance we were in this year. It was technically the Radfords year for christmas, but they don't have a super big place right now, so I hosted Radford Christmas at my moms house haha. We had dan's brother Preston, his brother and girlfriend Michael and Carmen, and his brother and wife Jon and Joss all stay at my moms. Then Aaron and Haley (and haley's brother, and Aaron's friends Jovi and Sam) came over as they wished, and Dan's parents and Marisa came over as much as they could. It was the first time all 5 brothers were together in YEARS! I tried to make sure to include christmas traditions of all the in-laws; Carmen always watches Muppets Christmas Carol, and her mom wake up the kids listening to Manheim Steamroller. So while she took a Christmas nap, we found some mannheim steamroller and blasted it on our bluetooth to wake her up. It was cute. We also did the nativity scene (this was the first time not having a bunch of kids here, so we made the big kids dress up), we each shared a christ themed thought/stori/movie clip, and had food that reminded each of us of christmas.
^Christmas Jammies on Christmas eve. We always do a scavenger hunt for the girls to find their jimmies. It's a highlight for them and for us.

Dan as Joseph, Stori as an angel, Sylvie was Mary, and Georgia was baby Jesus

Christmas morning waiting for daddy to go see if Santa came. Sitting on the same stairs i sat on as a kid waiting for my dad to see if santa came.
We kind of brainwashed Sylvie into wanting this kitchen---she really loves it, and to this day plays with it non-stop! but christmas night she said, "I really actually wanted a Barbie Dreamhouse, but that's okay because I love my kitchen that Santa picked out for me." haha. poor kid
Stori had casually mentioned that she wanted a tent, but we had no plans of getting one for her because we thought she would actually like something else better. Well last minute we hit up Sams Club and got one that came with a sleeping bag and duffle bag. SHE LOVED IT! i'm so glad she got it because we ran into her 1st grade teacher at broulims and the first thing she asked Stori was if she got her tent! haha Her teacher said she had been talking about it for months!

Some tired christmas morning faces. It was so fun celebrating Georgia's first Christmas
playing kitchen with Carmen and aunt Rissy.

making breakfast for a whole bunch people!
She was so sweet and loved all the wrapping paper people gave her. :)

Sylvie picked out Roxie for Stori, and it made her whole day!
and Stori picked out peppa pig toys, which equally made Sylvie's day

slept in her tent christmas night. Uncle Preston taught her how to put it up and take it down. it was so cute to see them work together.

The weather was pretty warm, and we didn't have a ton of snow, but we had to take the kids on a little sledding trip christmas afternoon. And when I say sledding, I actually mean have dan pull us around lewisville on a sled.
