kid yoga

The kids sure love to do kid yoga, and I sure love taking pictures of them doing kid yoga. They are actually pretty good! well, not so much the one in the middle. Just always one step behind. haha

I will still giber her an A for effort. and extra credit for being extra cuteness. I sure think all these girls are adorable. I'm gonna keep them forever!!

Willard Bay

Dan's boss reserved this super cool beach at Willard Bay for all of us to come swim for family night. It had slides, trampolines, swings, rope courses, "rock climbing," and warm water for all to enjoy. Like, really warm.

not sure why this picture of dan cropped like this with a black bar, but zero desire to change it.
Stori on the rock wall. She would hike all the way up and then jump off. She loved every part of this and didn't come to the beach until it was dark and we were ready to drive home.

Sylvie also loved it, but usually enjoyed being wherever I was. i got in the water for about an hour, then spent the rest of the time talking with dan's boss's family.
Georgia hated the life jacket this time, but LOVED being in her floaty. She stayed in there for so long.
It was such a FUN NIGHT! It was actually the second monday in a row that his bosses had rented out swimming places for us to swim. no complaints here.

back from idaho

It was a bit of a slow transition when we got back from our month long stay in Idaho. We enjoyed sleeping in our own beds and being back in the mountains, but we definitely missed family pretty bad. I was now the main entertainment for them instead of solid cousins.
We went to Downtown for our favorite street tacos and wandering around the town.

hahahaha. She just fits in this backpack so well. It made back to school shopping pretty entertaining.
practicing our jump rope skills in the morning before it gets too hot.

LEGO's are the greatest invention ever. The girls build them and then play with them over and over again. They pretty much just live on our kitchen table so that the girls can play with them whenever they want (which is most of the day).
night night walks to see the horses, and stopping on the way to draw some pretty flowers that you see.

I won't name any names, but when someone poops during their nap, we get cozy on my bed and take some selfies.

This little lady is always reading. love her.
And this girl is always finding new ways to make Georgia laugh. this one was pretty entertaining.
saying "cheese" while destroying that greek yogurt.
Still missing our family, but loving our little family time together.

Ben Lomond

Steven Daniel Radford is by far my favorite human to hike with. we get to talk the whole time, and we get to hold hands on the easy parts. I love him. Plus he is pretty handsome and good at photography.
We had dan's parents come and stay the night so that they could watch our kids while we hiked Ben Lomond. It's a 17 mile hike right in our backyard, and it literally took us 5 minutes to get to the trail head. I feel so blessed to be living in the mountains and to have married someone who likes to be out in them.
We woke up at 3:30am so that we could hike while it was cool and before too many people got on the trail. We were the 2nd people on the mountain, and hiked the first 6 miles in darkness.
this hike was gorgeous EVERY SINGLE MILE! the sun started to come up just as we got to the ridge overlooking the Valley in Eden and Huntsville. You could see so many lakes, mountain ridges, and solid wildflowers. The hike follows the ridge of the mountain and you are able to see both Valleys the last few miles of the hike.
At one point we turned a steep corner and we had our first view of the Summit, just as the sun was hitting it... and i'd be lying if I said we didn't tear up a bit. It was so breathtaking.

taking a pee on the trail. we were really about the only ones on the mountain, so I guess it's fine.
I just love this picture so much. I would really love to live in this Valley; huntsville, eden, avon....

The summit!!!! My phone doesn't do any kind of justice of course. It is much more grand looking in real life.

LOOKS LIKE WE MADE IT!!!
It was our first time summiting a mountain together (well, a big mountain that is), and also our first time hiking without kids since we've had them. we concluded that 17 miles hiking without kids is about the same as hiking 5 miles WITH kids. haha. both are fun though. We will be doing this hike again this fall to see all the fall colors. I can't wait! just need to get a babysitter again--no desire to hike that far with kids just yet.

Table Mountain hike

Neither of us had ever hiked this mountain before, but had been wanting to our entire marriage. It's 14 miles of absolutely beautiful trails. It was so fun to be there with my favorite hiking buddy. We also talked Megan and Joel into hiking it with us. We counted it as our long run for the week--best decision ever.
my legs look so wonky here for some reason!!

I took this picture of Dan to show hoe bad all the debris was. There had been some pretty bad avalanches that took down trees and covered the path. It was a little hard to find our way for about 1/2 mile.
And I LOVE this picture of mega and joel so much! That weird little mountain peak in the distance, is our destination. That is Table Rock!!! this is even 4 miles into the hike and it's still that far away... I started to panic just a bit, but the whole hike was so beautiful so it didn't feel as long as it was.

The mountain range is great, but dan is greater!

THE MOST INCREDIBLE VIEW WE HAD EVER SEEN!

The wild flowers were so gorgeous!
We all ate our lunches at the top and just sat to take in all the views
My phone didn't capture how beautiful all these peaks were. or how many of them there were. 360* of mountain peaks!!!
There was a lot more snow than we were planning on. It would have been wise to have some snow climbing gear because it was so slick and steep. Megan was genuinely concerned that she was going to be falling to her death. But seriously, one slip on that snow and you would roll down a huge canyon, off a pretty steep cliff. We found a better way to get across the snow on the way down, but unforutaly, right after that, Megan tore her Achilles tendon. We still had about 4.5 miles left do go, and she couldn't walk. We sat and tried to rub it out a little so she could walk, but it didn't help much. She limped the whole rest of the way. I felt so bad for her. We still made great time with the injury.
My mom snapped this picture of us from "find my friends." I love it!

Getting so close to the summit! (it looks close, but the worst part is ahead. Steep 2 miles of awful loose rocks leading to the top).
Dan and I were talking about this hike after, and we both came to the same conclusion. The whole hike really is AMAZING. it is so beautiful with all the valleys and mountains. But the BEST part was that you have to climb up to this super wonky shaped mountain. You are literally scrambling up steep loose rock to get to the top. The elevation starts kicking in and you can't see any of the grand. Then you finally reach the summit and your reward is breathtaking. The views are hard to describe--obviously the amazing grand teton, but so many mountain ranges for as far as you can see. It was really something I wish everyone could do. We will for sure be doing this again next year. (In fact, dan is taking his YM hiking there in 2 weeks). Table rock... you rock!
11,100 ft elevation.
