Schools out for summer! (and a NieNie tale)

To say that I'm loving our summer break, would be a gross understatement! It's only been one week, but we have done so many fun things!
To celebrate the first day being done, Dan and our law school friends decided to have a BBQ and play some vball, and then have a "Back to the Future" marathon....that we started at 10pm! We set up a couple of air mattresses and had popcorn and ice cream to keep us awake.... Amanda and I made it until the start of the 2nd movie, (right before the popcorn dangit)! Ryan and Dan lasted for all 3 movies. Jon and Joss left after the first movie. party poopers! ;)
The next few days we got to hang out with our great friends the Thompsons! They traveled all the way from AZ! Oh how we love the them (and their bravery). It was 2 years to the day, that we had seen them, and it felt like we were never apart!
We got almost 4 days with them, and in that time we: downed cafe rio salads, watched movies, dyed my hair, toured the law school and the byu bookstore, ate at the Creamery on 9th (bucket list restaurant), ate popcorn and talked like old times, played at the yellow park with a Chik-fil-A picnic, stayed up late laughing (and recreated a photo of shasha, hails, and myself haha), and of course, found nienie's house. Haily was the brave one who went to the front door. Sadly she wasn't there, but when she walked up to her house, nienie's husband and Lottie were outside. She asked if his wife was home and he said she was at a primary practice. So Haily just told him what an impact their story had in her life and that she just wanted to hug her and tell her thanks. He said he appreciated what she said, and asked her name and where she was from and said he would pass on the message. So nice!!
I didn't go up there because I didn't want her to feel stalked! 😁
Especially since I stalked her at target haha...
Oh the memories we are making haha!
that is  NieNie's house!!
Later in the week, we spent our mornings running or donating plasma, and then exploring!
We decided to take a trip through the alpine loop to find the tibblefork reservoir.... HOLY GORGEOUS! We stayed there for about an hour just taking in the beauty of our surroundings and of our sweet kids. They threw rocks in the lake the whole time and cried when it was time to go. We also ventured onto a new random road, and that was the best decision! The road was quite scary, bumpy, and steep; buy worth it. Another gorgeous mountain lake (silver lake). When you get to the top you have a view of a completely different set of mountains that you can't see from anywhere else. We were so shocked! Stori informed me that she helped Heavenly Father create all the beautiful trees so he could put them on the mountains for us to see. Thought that was nice of her ;)
We have had another bonfire out past Spanish fork. We shot some skeet, and I actually hit one this time! We roasted some hot dog and s'mores, and both kids fell asleep on our laps while sitting around the fire. So lovely!
We definitely feel so blessed to be going to school in Provo and to be able to go on these fun new adventures together! It's a good life.
Headed up to the Law School to document the last day of school. I want to do this all 3 years and see how we have grown and changed.

LAST DAY OF LAW SCHOOL 2015

Had to take this picture of these goofballs on our run the other day.

my I look SCARY!!! but this was the only picture we got of all of us at Tibblefork Reservoir.

Just want it to be known that not a single one of these have any filters on them. The water is really that beautiful!
