laziest spring break ever recorded in history

Stori had spring break the friday before easter, and then the whole week after. We had grand plans to head to either Jackson, or St. George...then dan got an assignment at work that had a deadline---seriously, he has never had an assignment like that before, but the one time we had plans... But it's good. He was able to work really hard and his boss even told him that when it comes to accomplishing tasks and billing hours, he is the best employee he has ever had. His boss also invited us to go to Escalante with him and his family this weekend and stay at their cabin. So instead, we hung out at home, and it was actually great! It was so fun having Stori home with us all day every day. She is such a good sister and I love how much she loves to have fun. We watched a family movie everyday after park trips and crafting. I introduced classics to them and they actually loved them.
We also went to a lot of stores in search of good hiking/camping stuff for this summer... our current favorite is Smith and Edwards. we got the girls their own $10 camelbacks for hiking, and they are excited to keep track of their own snacks and water (which could be a bad thing haha).
It was a fun break from routine, and we are all sad that stori is back in school.
Can't go to Sportsmans without playing with the toy guns. We also can't go to Sportsmans without going to Target because they are right next to each other.
^^notice the one scroll of paper on the ottoman? ya, that was just the beginning. By the time they were done crafting that day, I had 16 scrolls. So easy to entertain that younger 2 kids when stori is home.

^^we have an unofficial saturday tradition of going to Lees to get donuts and milk. Its happened 3 times since we've lived here, but the girls seem to think we'll do this every week haha.

^^ she snuggled daddy for about 20 minutes when she woke up. oh that little button nose!!!!

This! this is Ogden HIGH SCHOOL!!! It's amazing! we did a little sight seeing on the evenings when dan got home, and found this. I couldn't even get the whole school in my picture, it is massive and beautiful!

^just really liked these trees at this house up by the canyon
We also went on a little drive to see where the Radford reunion will be this year. It is sooo pretty, and only a 15 minute drive from our house. It's just on the other side of the mountains through the North Ogden divide.

we even saw a moose (the mangiest moose in existence... and it's antlers were just little nubs...)

the drive home

^^hahaha this picture cracks me up... Stori, the 6 year old, put her panties on backwards, and then tried on Sylvie's pajamas because she loves them. Dan picked her up and this was my sight haha.
I will always take sleeping picture of her. It's either take the picture, or eat her face.

^^^ this is my sight while doing my workouts inside. Love that little lady.

And this is my sight while running outside. I sure do love Spring in Utah.

^crackers made the ride go smoothly
And one last picture because I seriously cannot decide what to do with my hair...

Easter in Idaho

We went to Idaho to spend easter weekend with family. We did our annual easter egg hunt (a little less egg-strafigant that usual, but still fun). Had a little BBQ after, and then visiting with family. Everyone but Corey was able to make it, but not everyones time at my moms house overlapped.  It was also Conference weekend, so we didn't have church on Sunday. We went to Dan's family's house on actual Easter, and then went to Aaron and Haley's for dinner. Georgia is obsessed with her new cousin Evelyn. She kept hugging and kissing her. It was pretty dang cute! We came bak to Utah early Monday morning, and then back to normal life. Mondays sure are hard after a fun family weekend. Luckily Stori is on Spring Break, so she is able to entertain Sylvie better than anyone. She organized pretend school, did bubbles outside, played hide and seek, did play dough for hours, got all the painting supplies out for them, and then we all watched an oldie "Summer Magic." They loved it. I'm going to introduce 7 brides for 7 brothers sometime this week too. Love my little family! Oh, and this conference was amazing! so many exciting things and so many amazing talks. Love our new prophet so much!
ok, i'm done. :)
I really love this picture of them watching a "scary movie" my nieces made in my mom's backyard.

and this little bunny loved being outside, so outside she stayed.

^^I did pack cute easter outfits, but dress ups won when the cousins got to town. Just too fitting, and I love it.

that toothless smile. :)

these cute cousins got out our teepee and set it up in the backyard while eating their candy.

painting during conference.
Captured a picture of Papa Radford, just as they announced no more Home Teaching and Visiting Teaching haha.

Loving that baby Evelyn

I love road tripping with this guy! and 2% milk is just soooooo good!! ;)

I love where we live, and who I live with

...and for several reasons....

I'm not going to lie, the thoughts of moving to St. George, AZ, or SoCal crossed our minds about 42 times this "spring," but we really love these mountains. a lot. And we really love living close to family...but when I check the weather and I see snow in our forecast, I'm ready to relocate to warmer climates.

but yeahhhh....these mountains....

these pictures are at the end of our road. these mountains are pretty much our backyard.

^^ and look at that little gem in between those barns.... CAFE RIO! as if the beautiful mountains weren't enough, they went ahead and threw in the best restaurant ever, just 1/2 mile from our house. ha.
We enjoy these "night night walks" a lot, and love that we get to feed horses on our way. Feels a lot like Idaho, but with less wind.

Sylvie had kindergarten orientation last week, and she loved it. They had all the incoming kindergarteners go off to the classrooms with all the teachers while the principle gave the information to the parents. When I picked up sylvie, she was having so much fun and made a little friend. They played on the playground for a long time...really hope they can be in the same class this fall. (have I mentioned that I am NOT READY for Sylvie to go to school. AT ALL!!!! she's my little buddy). but she is ready. she isn't reading like Stori was, but she loves "reading books" and playing and crafting all day long. Thats pretty much what Kindergarten is i guess.

Stori is quite the little artist. I have a stack of paintings so thick, and I love it. when she wakes up (she's the first one up at 7am) and she is either painting or reading her chapter books while eating her cheerios. When she gets home from school, its homework and then crafting to her kids playlist she made on Spotify. She is so cute!!

^^picture of Stori reading her book in the car. Love it.

Georgia really likes walking with this walker, and loves making us laugh.  when we laugh, she laughs, and then that makes us laugh harder.

just really attractive, and always making us laugh haha. Love her.

And i sure love taking pictures of her sleeping. This is just so cute I can't stand it!! that little belly poking through!

hotel swimming with family in SLC

My sister Bridget and her kids came from Oregon for their spring break, and as part of their trip, they got a hotel in SLC. We went and swam with them and then out to eat at In-n-Out. we had so much fun, and got home way too late, but it was spring break for Stori, so just dan and I suffered the consequences. Emmy and baby Theodore came from SLC, and Maddie came from Provo to join us. My kids loves swimming with some cousins. (and I enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while my nieces took care of my kids haha).

Georgia loved baby Theodore! she just hugged and hugged him!

^^that hand holding!! Oh, and Theodore is 3 months old, and Georgia is 1... almost the same size! haha. Love them!
