Christmas 2K14

Christmas this year was pretty chill. Not many people went home for the holidays this year, but it was still great. We stuck with tradition and had a case of the throw-ups from the 3 year old, who had been talking about Christmas since her birthday last July. It seriously broke my heart to see her so sick for so long. She told Granny, "I just really don't want to be sick anymore."
Her body was completely limp for about 4 days, and when Dan took her to the Dr. on Christmas Eve morning, he sent her right home saying there was nothing they could do! I hate that! We got her some "sprite medicine" and that seemed to help a little bit with her appetite. She kept requesting 7 layer dip, so we finally gave her some. She ate and ate and ate.... Then threw it all up! But I took it as a good sign because she hadn't been able to even speak really because she was so weak, and there she was actually wanting food. Before Josh's family went home that night, Dan asked him if he would help him give stori a blessing. About 7 hrs later she woke up, looked at me and said, "i'm all done being sick now!" She was happy as can be and WALKING!! She could actually move! It was a Christmas miracle! She still didn't have much of an appetite, but she was able to enjoy Christmas Day, and that made us so happy! We were also very thankful that no one else got sick! Not even sylvie who kept sneaking sips from sick sisters sipper!
The other Christmas miracle was all the snow!! It snowed all Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! It was so magical! The girls played outside with their cousins (the Petersons and Rigby Christensens) and lasted about 7 minutes because it was too blasted cold!! Which made it even more cozy inside!!

Other things that made the holidays wonderful:
shopping, dancing, eating, lounging, Netflix watching, going to Big Hero 6, making sugar cookies (that no one actually eats-but we still do it every year), talent show (see pic of the 2-person cartwheel haha), reading, playing at AC, learning letters for June bug, Christmas Eve walk in the snow with my #1, dress ups, horsey rides, putting together new Legos, celebrating dads (what would be) 66th birthday, going on a date to Unbroken, Dan going shooting, Dan going to the hobbit, and yummy yummy food! It was a great 2 weeks in idaho! It made Dan and I really miss living there! And it was SO AMAZING to not have Dan in school! I loved all the time with him! Even if he spent most of the time reading the book he got for Christmas. It was Unbroken and he had to finish it while we were there because he won't have a chance to read it during law school, and so that we could go see the movie.
It was hard to come back to Provo and start real life again, but we are doing it! Even though we are still in our Jammie's at 3 pm while I write this! :)
day before the sickness...
Christmas Eve morning. minutes before Stori went to the Dr.
It looks so peaceful if you block out the throw-up bowl!
had to be carried everywhere. :(
our Christmas eve walk in the snow

Christmas morning!

a failed attempt. Don't worry, we soon perfected the 2-man cartwheel.
best money ever spent.

a cherry cordial for Dad's b-day

cozy movie time with cousins while Josh and Dan go see The Hobbit
A trip to play at Arctic Circle. Just like we used to do in the winter in Idaho when we lived there

Starfall on daddy's computer. She is getting so good at reading! She knows, the, and, dad, dog, mom, stori, I, & up.
At Big Hero 6 in Rexburg

reading, reading, reading….boring, boring, boring. ;)
yes, that is correct. He was READING as the year turned 2015! At least he gave me a kiss and drank the grape sparkling cider.
Stori begs me nightly if Sylvie can sleep with her! Sylvie would love it I'm sure, but in the crib she will stay for now.
I was suppose to get a new niece on Christmas day, but little miss decided to let her parents have a little extra time and came 8 days late.
Dresden Noelle is such a cute little nugget and we love looking at all the cute pictures of her! Congrats Kristen and Rick! Dresden made me an aunt for the 35th time, and evened out the score on the Radford side. 3 boys, 3 girls.

Here are some pictures from dan's camera just to make this post even longerrrr! :)

this is probably my favorite picture haha. both of their smiles are so cute!
can't put my arms down.

  1. What? That's all --- I could have read and looked at even more pictures. So sad that Stori was sick, but I am glad that she still got to enjoy Christmas. It looked/and sounded (or read) like it was perfect!
