Disneyland 60th Anniversary

Our family vacation was partially sponsored this year by Dan's sister Kristen. We watched her little girl Dresden for a couple of weeks while she was in NZ, so her payment to us was a two-day trip to Disneyland. I will gladly watch her once a year. ;)

"Hey Dresden, could you look forward and smile?"
Much better.
The first ride of the day was, of course, the carousel! Instant love.

Tired little girls. I wish i could have been pushed around that park while eating snacks. ;)
Watching the Disney Parade with all the characters! We didn't get a front row seat like last time (when Donald started dancing with Stori) but it was still so fun and cute to see how excited all the girls were.

This year both kids were able to sit on the mats for the Beauty and the Beast show. It was so cute watching them sit there for the whole show absolutely glued to the performerance.

^^I caught Stori and Sylvie with their arms around each other during the play. *heart eyes*

Meeting the Princesses! Sylvie was quite the little missionary: The day before we had gone to the San Diego temple where we received little pass-along cards that had a picture of the temple on the front. Sylvie had them in her pocket and was playing with them while we waited in line, and then she ended up giving one to each princess as she met them haha. They all asked if that was her special castle and were very cute about it. I'm sure they had no idea that it was in fact an LDS Temple. :)

(notice the temple card in her hand)

the "photographer" who get's paid to take pictures, sure did a good job taking this one on my phone haha. Oh well, at least it is documented that they FINALLY met Mickey Mouse.
^^ right before dressy head butted the ground! haha. i took all 3 girls to toon town solo so that Dan and Kristen could go do some rides together. They were such good little buddies.
I'm so glad kristen took a picture of us 4 on their very first roller coaster. This was probably their favorite ride! Three way tie with this Chip n dale roller coaster, the tea cups, or the dumbo ride. (Technically the only ride they didn't love was the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Stori screamed sooooo loud going down that first big drop in the darkness. I don't blame her, it was quite unexpected, and I'm sure her 4yr old brain didn't realize that it was just a ride and that we actually weren't falling down to the bottom of the ocean.) ;)

^^ It's a small world. Better this year than the last time. Still a little too long and obnoxious for us. :)
^^Kristen was so nice to take one for the team and take our girls with her on the tea cups. Dan and I don't do well with spinning, but the girls LOVED it!

They loved it so much that once kristen and dresden left that night, they asked to go on it again. It was worth the dizziness to see these cute smiles!

Last ride of the night was the dumbo ride. so fun!

The Allreds were nice enough to let us crash their spot to watch the parade. HOLY MOKES, that parade was AMAZING! I don't know if it always like that now, or if it is just because it is Disneylands 60h anniversary, but it was awesome. I took tons of videos of it, and my girls love to rematch them on my phone.

The bike trailer was so amazing. Both nights as we were walking back to our car (1.6 miles away) sylvie asked if she could lay on Stori's shoulder, and both nights she fell asleep before we got to the car. Such cuties.
We were there from open to close, and we still needed more time. It truly is such happy place that we can't wait to go back to! Until next time Disneyland!
